Colon’s Doll and Emeth
In Chapter 1174, Saint Sommers panics over his blunder. However, the children are bound with thorns, leaving their parents with no choice but to watch them fall. And then he realizes—this could actually be useful. Absolute scum behavior.
On top of that, even if he wanted to halt the operation, he can’t—because Imu has taken over Gunko. Yet he goes as far as to claim that this is Imu’s fault. No, it’s nothing more than him shifting the blame just to prioritize his own twisted preferences.
Moments like this really reveal a person’s true nature, don’t they? (lol)
He’s completely out of line at this point, but Imu—currently facing off against Brook—probably has bigger concerns. If this were exposed, Sommers would likely be purged. He’s totally done for.
Just as Saint Sommers intended, the children follow the arrows and head straight toward the hole. At this rate, they’ll die.
And they start to think—maybe this is happening because they did something bad.
Each of them had done something they would be scolded for, but…

It seems Colon had been challenging weaker kids to duels and taking their “dolls,” and those dolls look strikingly similar to the Iron Giant, Emeth.
Could this mean something?
On Elbaf, there was a research facility said to have existed for at least 3,000 years (Chapter 1144). It’s clear evidence that an advanced civilization once existed there.
So could it be that Emeth was originally created in Elbaf, and that design has been passed down over time as children’s toys?
It’s still unclear whether that research facility actually belonged to Elbaf, or if it was something built there by the so-called “Great Kingdom.” The facility itself feels completely out of place in Elbaf.
That part is definitely intriguing.
